I'm a hobbyist woodworker, builder, and maker. My training background consists entirely of watching New Yankee Workshop on PBS, learning from the growing maker community on YouTube, and what I learned from "shop" class in middle school - or as Mr. Duarte used to say, "it's Industrial Arts... the shop is across the street at Smitty's."
I build things to use in my own home that fit my other hobbies and interests, and to engage my young boys in their own explorations.
